What goes into a 3 kW system
- Solar modules adding up to 3 kW — DCR modules if you are claiming the subsidy.
- A grid-connected inverter of matching capacity (or a hybrid inverter if you want battery backup).
- Mounting structure — we use hot-dip galvanised steel, designed for your roof.
- ACDB and DCDB (AC and DC distribution boxes), earthing and a lightning arrestor.
- Net meter, installed through your DISCOM.
Getting the subsidy
You apply on the national PM Surya Ghar portal, a registered vendor installs the system, the DISCOM inspects and commissions it, and the subsidy is credited to your bank account. See the subsidy breakdown and the step-by-step application process. The scheme is listed as closing on 31 March 2027.
